China United Cement Qingzhou 200,000 tons CO2 carbon capture project has achieved product production

Date:2024-05-30
Recently, the China United Cement Qingzhou 200,000 tons CO2 carbon capture project, undertaken by Shanghai Triumph Energy Conservation Engineering Co., Ltd. (STEC), a subsidiary of China Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd., has successfully produced and started selling CO2 products, injecting new momentum into the green and low-carbon economic development of the building materials industry.
This project is jointly developed by STEC and Tianjin Cement Institute. It is the first time that the world's most advanced technology and process equipment have been integrated and applied in the cement full oxygen combustion kiln in the building materials industry. Through pressure swing adsorption, coupled adsorption and distillation purification technology, purified CO2 is captured and produced into liquid CO2 with a purity of 99.99%. The production capacity can reach 200,000 tons per year, and the product quality meets the China food grade standard.
The production and sales of the project have received widespread attention from both inside and outside the industry, helping cement production enterprises improve energy efficiency, reduce environmental pollution, create employment opportunities for residents, and open up a new path for the healthy development of the "dual carbon economy" in the building materials industry

With the increasing global attention to low-carbon economy and sustainable development, carbon reduction and carbon neutrality have become common goals for various industries. The production and sales of the project signify that the company has become a pioneer in the field of carbon capture in the building materials industry. In the future, it will accelerate technological innovation, increase product promotion efforts, and help the sustainable development of the global building materials industry's green and low-carbon economy.
