On January 29, 2021, an EPC project of Henan Xuchang Tianyuan biomass cogeneration (Phase I) contracted by Shanghai Triumph Energy Conservation Engineering Co., Ltd. (STEC). was successfully synchronized for power generation, which emblematize that the project was officially put into operation.
There are two phases of the project, phase I includes 1 × 75t / h biomass boiler with 15MW steam turbine generator, and phase II includes 2 × 35t / h biomass boiler with 6MW back pressure steam turbine generator. The project is the first biomass power generation project of STEC in China after signing the contract for biomass power generation project abroad. It has overcome many adverse factors caused by COVID-19 pandemic in the project and realized many functions at one stoke for the first time such as the boiler ignition, steam turbine-turn, grid-connected through orderly management and construction. At the same time, it was put into operation successfully.
After the project is put into operation, it has played a great role in improving the energy structure, environmental protection, circular economy development and farmers' income growth. At the same time, as a livelihood project of Xuchang City, the project has received great attention from the local government. In November 2020, the boiler heating system has been put into operation first, which has made great contribution to the protection of winter heating for hundreds of thousands of citizens in Yuzhou area of Xuchang city.
