The waste heat recovery power plant project for Uzbekistan Surhanderya 4500t/d cement plant which is contracted by Shanghai Triumph Energy Conservation Engineering Co., Ltd. (For short STEC) achieved the final acceptance after expiry of the warranty period in April 2020. The final acceptance certificate(FAC) together with the commendation letter were issued from the owner. The construction of the project started in September 2017, and completed with successful power generation in November 2018.The completion acceptance and performance test were achieved in June 2019, and the warranty period expired in April 2020.
This project is the first waste heat recovery power plant project in Uzbekistan. The owner is the cement plant directly under the ministry of energy of Uzbekistan. The project has been approved by the owner as a model project in both of the schedule and quality. Due to the lack of local technical staff, during the warranty period, STEC sent a number of engineers to guarantee the operation of the waste heat recovery power plant. At the same time, in view of the weak facility of the local external power grid, STEC completed the technical upgrading of the island mode operation of the waste heat power plant, which solved the problem of the cement line stoppage due to the external power grid failure. The outstanding contribution of STEC not only creates huge economic and social benefits for the local area, but also wins the trust and approval of the owner. In addition to receiving all 100% contract payment, the owner also issues extra project bonus as an exception.
STEC has won the reputation in the Uzbek market and set up a good example. At present, the owner is also actively communicating with us about the spare parts supply contract and the subsequent development of new projects. STEC willdealwith thedifficulties during the COVID-19period, taking measures according to local conditions, developing new marketing strategies, taking the challenges and opportunities, and trying our best to make satisfactory results in 2020.
