On November 28, the signing ceremony of Indonesia 6×10MW biomass power plant project was held in the headquarters of CTIEC, Shanghai. Mr.Peng Shou,Chairman and President of CTIEC, on behalf of the company and the President of PT. Wahana Foresta Abadi Mr. Koh TJIE BENG signed the Head of Agreement of the first six biomass power plant projects and the EPC contract of the first project. STEC willtake in charge of the EPC contract execution of the six projects.
PT.Wahana Foresta Abadi is affiliated to Indonesia HASKO group. There are three main sections of the group: shipping transportation, plywood plant and power facilities. HASKO group is the largest producer of plywood in Indonesia, with an annual output of 1,300,000 m3, ranking the highest in Asia, owning 15 factories and 45 branches. In its previous operations, the group has invested in building five different biomass and coal-fired power plants.
Indonesia6×10MWbiomass power project is the first phase investment of HASKO group. Each power plant is with theinstalled capacity of 10MW, whichuses wood and wood chips as the fuel. Construction of the first plant is expected to be started in January 2018, the other five projects will be started one after another in 2018~2019. Through the cooperation in biomass power plant with HASKO group, CTIEC will have further horizontal expansion in solar energy, wind energy, hydropower and other clean energy market in Indonesia.
